Only stayed one night in convenience of early morning...
Only stayed one night in convenience of early morning transit. It was exactly what I needed which was a clean, quiet room with reasonably comfortable bed.
Front desk staff lacked a little urgency.

What was the highlight of Empire Suites Hotel
Empire suites is clean and comfy but in a busy location
Empire Suites is a great hotel but the location just wasn't great for a family travelling with kids. We were on the wrong side of a busy intersection and coming from El Nido the busy, dirty, smelly city was a bit of a shock to our senses especially the kids. Just up the road are more restaurants suited to Western travellers and a bit more pleasant to walk around. If we'd been settled there I think we would have had a different experience. Empire suites had a good hot shower (make sure the dial is turned to hot under the sink if your waters cold), comfy beds, good breakfast choices and friendly staff.
No port a cot or cribs for babies and elevator doors close fast, careful of them!

What was the highlight of Empire Suites Hotel
Great hotel location. Easy to commute everywhere.
The property was in a great location and most of the staff was very helpful and responsive. The shuttle service definitely was a plus. You can commute to many locations within the city very easily even via walking. Having a tour agency in the property also helped in planning tours.
There were many broken floor tiles in the room and lobby of the hotel. The toilet in the bathroom always leaked. The towels provided always looks old and dirty but you can tell they were newly washed. These small things definitely got to me especially being there for almost a week.
